Hi everyone,
Wanted to send out a long overdue thank you to everyone who was a part of the 3rd annual Matthew Peebles Memorial Bowling Tournament back on May 9th. It’s so great to see so many familiar and new faces out to celebrate the life of a guy who is so dearly missed!
This year’s event featured 93 bowlers and brought in another $3200 for Right to Play. Right to Play is putting this to use developing sport and play programs to improve health, develop life skills, and foster peace for children and communities in some of the most disadvantaged areas of the world, as well as on home soil, working with groups such as Canadian First Nations.
This event is all about fun, but there were clearly more than a few strikes and spares thrown. We’d like to congratulate “The Alley Lions” on reclaiming the Peebs Cup for their second win in 3 years!
The standings were as follows:
1st: The Alley Lions - Devon Retzer, Brendan Hardy and David Williams
2nd: Gutters R Us - Jack Shields, Colin Armstron, and Brad Shostak
3rd: The Really Cool Guys - Ross Cool and Kevin Cool
Most Valuable Bowler (MVB): Devon Retzer
As always – we also really enjoyed all of the enthusiasm and hilarious team themes and costumes! Pictures from this year’s event can be found here
Given we’re now 3 years into running this event – we’re looking for feedback to make sure that this event continues to be the best tribute to Matthew possible and that it reflects the interests of those who participate in it.

Last but not least, would really like to thank everyone who volunteered, contributed to, donated prizes or sponsored the event!
Hopefully see everyone at the lanes in 2016. Here’s to Peebs!
